We worked with Charity Vision to help support an emerging prosthetics program in Tonga. There is a large need for prosthetic legs in Tonga because of the prevalence of diabetes. |
EL SALVADOR 2010
This was our first trip. We teamed up with a local prosthetist, Francisco Serrano, and a rehabilitation center, FUNTER. With them, we made and fit three prosthetic legs for volunteers who were willing to participate in a clinical trial.
